The project aim is to redevelop a fish market in order to welcome an area for taking meals. Based on the client’s requirement to keep the soul of a fish market, the intervention shrinks the space dedicated to selling in favour of the eating area. The idea is to create a multi-purpose and flexible environment in which it is possible to stop for a quick meal (quickly) –I order my meal choosing the fish behind the window, I eat it and I go away- and a space suitable to accommodate a single large table for a traditional dinner (slowly). And that is why, for example, the wooden and black iron furniture is designed to be modular according to the different needs. Space management, in this way, becomes dynamic, articulated and ready to transformation.
