Immediately at first glance, we realized that the peculiar, unique element of the housing organization in question was the “environmental site” and its incomparable view of Florence. A position on the very first Florentine hill that is unrepeatable and with an absolutely “exclusive”, “elitist” view of the city which is perceivable by those living in the spaces of the house.
It is therefore on this concept that we have focused, inevitably speaking of “luxury” understood as “rarity” not only in the choice of materials, but above all in the peculiarity and exclusivity of the choices.
“Luxury is freedom of spirit, independence, the uniqueness of the dimension, in short, the politically incorrect …….”
Sharing this principle, we interpreted the design by assuming the partial demolition of some parts of the property, setting it according to the following fundamental elements:
– Great opening of the interior spaces to dialogue with the garden and consequently with the points of view on the city;
– Organization of spaces according to a use that favors family intimacy and in others the relationship with occasional guests;
– Attention to the volume design in relation to solar exposure.
Location, spatial dimension, perception of space, light, transparency are the elements of this specificity: to give the opportunity to fully express this potential to the place and therefore to the property.
A project that essentially favors the relationship between the user of the interior spaces and the astonishing point of view on the city of Florence, the uniqueness of the relationship between subject, space and emotion.
